What to Expect from StagingWorks | Toronto's Premier Home Stagers


At StagingWorks, we understand that many people have never enlisted the help of a home stager to assist them with the sale of their property.  We also know that the whole process of staging your home may be daunting and a bit overwhelming.  Inviting a stranger to give their un-biased opinion on what should be done in order to ensure your home is market-ready can be a bit stressful and we get that.  We do our very best to keep the staging process as stream-lined and simple as possible.  We are flexible and are happy to do as much or as little as you, our client would like.


Below is the basic process of home staging and the steps that need to be done before any pictures or marketing is done.


Step #1: Home Staging Consultation

We do both daytime and evening appointments to accommodate your schedule.  We prefer to see the house in the daylight especially if we will be selecting paint colours.  The consultation generally takes one hour although it could take and hour and a half.  We will walk through your home and give our opinion on where you should spend your money, what you should store, how you should arrange your furniture and pick paint colours if necessary.


Step #2: De-cluttering, Packing and Storing

We can take care of all of this and will give a quote based on the amount of time and people necessary to complete the job.  This can take a day or a week depending on the amount of work involved.  To move things along we often bring in a whole team of packers, organizers and movers to make the project go as quickly as possible.


Step #3: The Staging Day

We can work with your furniture and accessories, arranging them in the best way possible in order to make your property look its very best.  We can bring in some of our pieces of art, lamps, area rugs, pillows to add to what you already have and to “tie everything together.  For some properties, like vacant homes, we bring in everything from sofas, to dining sets, artwork and areas rugs.  We help the buyer understand how they can live in the space and make it as appealing as possible so the pictures on MLS look better than your competition.

You choose how much you would like us to be involved we can simply come for a consultation and give you a list of things to do or we can tackle it all.  It’s your choice.  Our job is to make preparing your property as easy and stress-free as possible, it’s what we do.
